The Moment Balance Board
Why balance
board training?
Every shot starts from your feet. Train the base, and the brain that runs it.
On the court
Balance is the first skill.
Pickleball asks for agility, strategy and, above all, balance. It sits under every part of the game, from the precision of your stroke to how well your body holds up over a long day of play.
A steadier base
Serves, volleys and resets all start from your feet. A stable base lets the rest of the stroke repeat.
Quicker recovery
Pickleball is constant small adjustments. Balance training teaches your body to find center again fast.
Body awareness
Knowing where you are in space, without looking, is what makes quick changes of direction possible.
How it trains your brain
The five F's.
Sport throws sudden challenges at you, and your nervous system answers before you think. The board is a safe place to practice those answers, so the right one shows up when a point is on the line.
Fight
Meet the challenge
The board puts you in a demanding spot on purpose. Holding your balance there trains you to stay assertive, keep control and decide well under pressure.
Flight
Move out of trouble
Quick footwork and fast shifts of position on the board sharpen reflexes, visual perception and agility, so you can change direction and adapt in a fast point.
Freeze
Break the hesitation
Unfamiliar balance tasks teach your brain to read the situation, weigh the options and respond. That is how you get past the split second of doubt.
Focus
Hold your attention
Staying up takes sustained concentration and shuts out distractions. That focus carries over to anticipation and accuracy on the court.
Fine-tune
Refine the skill
Regular, deliberate practice on the board refines motor skill, spatial awareness and your sense of risk. Small corrections, repeated, become the way you move.

Wherever you are now
Built for
every level.
- Beginner
- Hold your balance through simple tasks, like catching or hitting a ball.
- Stand in different positions to build core strength and stability.
- Intermediate
- Add movements that copy game situations to build agility and reflexes.
- Train your sense of where your body is, for quick changes of direction.
- Advanced
- Bring pickleball strokes and footwork onto the board.
- Use the board to build focus and mental resilience for competition.
Start slow, on the included mat, with something steady within reach.
Ten minutes, no paddle
Balance is a way into flow.
Flow does not start in your head. It starts in your body. When you balance, your body and brain make small, automatic, rhythmic adjustments, and your attention narrows to right now.
Ground
Shift your weight slowly side to side. Notice how your feet and core respond. Keep your eyes soft on one point ahead.
Breathe
Match the movement to your breath. Inhale as you drift one way, exhale as you drift back. Stay with the rhythm.
Close your eyes
Ten seconds, when you are ready. Balance gets subtler and your body listens harder. A wobble is feedback, not failure.
From the designer of the board
Scott Weiss, CEO of Moment Pickleball and designer of the Moment Balance Board, is a certified Flow State Coach. The three exercises above are a first taste of flow. PickleFlow Mindset Training takes it further.
The full program runs six weeks and trains your mind the way the board trains your balance: find flow more often, and play your best when the pressure is on.

The deck
Canadian maple, shaped for more than one stance, with grip tape across the full surface so your feet stay put.

The rail
Our adjustable center rail sits under the deck. Set it in the middle for a traditional board, or move it forward for an advanced forward stance. No tools.

The roller
Solid wood, 9.25 inches long and 3.75 inches across, with a center channel. It tracks side to side, rolls front to back, and lowers the chance of the board spinning out.
Every board comes with a yoga style rubber mat to protect your floor and steady the roller.

A rail that moves
The rail under the deck mounts into a row of slots. Slide it to a new setting, with no tools, and the board balances from a different point.
Fore and aft, on purpose
Move the rail and your weight has to move with it. You can train a centered stance or a forward, ready position stance on the same board.
A grooved roller
The roller has a channel cut around its middle. The rail rides in that groove, so the board rolls in a straight line and stays on track.
